Vom 07.-09.09.2023 fand der Interflora World Cup 2023, die Weltmeisterschaft der Floristen, in Manchester, Großbritannien statt. Nach Bewerbung und Vorrundengewinn im Dezember 2022 stand der deutsche Teilnehmer, Nicolaus Peters aus Berlin, fest. Von Januar bis September wurden zusammen mit seiner Fachkollegin Petra Konrad Ideen entwickelt bis hin zur finalen Umsetzung der drei mitzubringenden Werkstücke. Petra Konrad, Fachlehrerin für Floristik an der Louise-Schroeder-Schule unterstützte ihn in Berlin wie auch in Manchester als einzige persönlich zugelassene Assistentin.
Insgesamt wurden Werkstücke aus den Bereichen Raum-, Tisch– und Brautschmuck sowie drei Überraschungsarbeiten gefordert, die die Jury überzeugten und zum Gewinn des Titels Interflora World Champion führten.
